Building fire and shelter at ACS

Our grade 9’s spent some time with Dwayne Spence, Lakeshore’s land-based education facilitator, and learned how to build fires and shelters for survival. They also enjoyed cooking over the fire they made, and learning about uses for the trees and plants around us.
