About Us

Enable adult learners to gain confidence to define their needs and take actions to address those needs by balancing flexibility and responsibility .
Fieldstone Ventures Education & Training Centre a registered Adult Learning Centre offering High School credit courses for adults. The Mature Student Diploma program is designed to assist adult learners aged 19 years and older to complete their Grade 12 diploma or take extra credits to improve their skills for today’s workplace or further education.

The Centre is located in the TBJ Mall, 61 Main Street Ashern with classroom and computer labs for learners' needs. Adult learners register either on a full-time or part-time basis. Classes are held Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. Continuous intake is available throughout the school year from September to February. Since the Centre opening in 2002, there has been a steady increase in learners averaging 50 learners/year.

Courses offered: Grade 10-12 high school courses – Essential Mathematics; English Language Arts -Transactional, Comprehensive and Technical; Career Development; ICT Computer Technology, Accounting, Biology, Psychology, PLAR (Prior Learning & Recognition) is available for learners to challenge courses based on experience and previous education & training to reach their goals.

Administrative Assistant Program is available for students that are wanting computer and accounting skills.

Adult upgrading/literacy is available to assist learners to prepare for high school courses; and or upgrade their essential skills in reading, writing, computer and numeracy for employment or preparation for further training.

The Centre employs two full-time teachers, one part-time Literacy teacher, two part-time Education Directors and one full time Administrative Assistant. Continuing Education courses and Employment Assistance services are also available.
